SPO Tactics' functionality augments KLA-Tencor's use of MCA's SPO Strategy, which
KLA-Tencor implemented in 2002 after an extensive, data-driven evaluation. The result
was a positive return KLA-Tencor’s investment within two months of selection.
The implementation of SPO Strategy for KLA-Tencor's service parts forecasting and
positioning resulted in an 18 percent improvement in field service levels while
concurrently reducing operating costs by more than four percent.
